Severity: normal

Without xorriso, live-build fails to create binary-hybrid.iso. Since
this is the default, it seems like xorriso should be a Recommends for
the live-build package, but it should at least be a Suggests.

errm, there's no xorriso support whatsoever in live-build yet. it's on
todo to be switched to for default, but requires a few changes in
live-build in order to do that.

Oops, sorry. This was a cut and paste error. I meant to report this
against grub-pc, which uses xorriso to generate the rescue image. In my
notes of things to report, I accidentally said to report this against
live-build instead of grub-pc, and then my brain fabricated this thing
about binary-hybrid.iso to make the story consistent. You can leave
this as a wishlist item or just close it. I'll report the bug I meant
to report to the package I meant to report it against.
