Subject: multistrap: hooks mechanism attempts to run editor backup files

Package: multistrap
Version: 2.1.14
Severity: wishlist

From the exec log:

I: Running post-configuration hook: 'completion-01.sh'
I: Running post-configuration hook: 'completion-01.sh~'

Something like "run-parts --regex='^completion[a-zA-Z0-9_-]+$'" could
be much more robust and would probably not be overly restrictive.

No benefit. Hooks are up to the admin to arrange and if the admin is
lazy enough to leave backup files in a hook directory, that isn't a bug
in multistrap.

Err... tell that to those who implemented the default run-parts behaviour...

Why do you think that a functionnality that is standard in other parts
of Debian does not apply to multistrap ?
