at some point.

The Homepage control field should at least be removed, and some
investigation about why the distribution was removed would be advisable

Hi Michael,

When looking at the Debian package of Test::SimpleUnit, I notice that
it had disappeared from CPAN. I assume that this is just a question of
you not wanting to support it any more, but I wondered if you could
confirm, or provide any more details?

I guess so; I haven't actually supported it or even used Perl for anything serious in close to five years now. I seem to remember hearing that they were going to purge code that hadn't been updated in a while at some point, so that's likely what happened. 

Sorry about that. If you (or anyone else) wants to resurrect it and maintain it, I'd be happy to transfer it to them.

No need to apologise :) I don't think we've identified a compelling
use case for this module in Debian, so I suspect we'll remove it in
due course.

pkg-perl people: any objections to me raising this bug to RC and
requesting its removal from testing, as a first step?

Hm, libtest-mockclass-perl seems to build-depend on it
(which itself doesn't have any (build-)rdeps).

And which has a low popcon score. So, okay to remove that too?
Note that libtest-simpleunit-perl now has a perl 5.18 FTBFS, which
is probably enough to justify removal from unstable.

Hi,

I've uploaded a beta version on git, perhaps works-it better ?
(I've no time to test it today and I think that the problem isn't only
with Perl-5.18 but is repared bi beta version)

Uploaded where? I don't see any changes in the
libtest-simpleunit-perl repo on alioth?

I can only assume that this was a confusion and that the comment
applied to a different package. I'm raising this bug to RC now and will
file a removal request for both libtest-simpleunit-perl and
libtest-mockclass-perl in one week unless there are objections.
