Subject: RFP: libapache2-mod-spdy -- Apache module for the SPDY (HTTPS-like) protocol implemented in chromium
Date: Tue, 31 May 2011 13:04:07 +1200
Package: wnpp
Severity: wishlist

* Package name    : libapache2-mod-spdy
  Upstream Author : A few Google people
* URL             : http://code.google.com/p/mod-spdy
* License         : Apache License version 2
  Programming Lang: C
  Description : Apache module for the SPDY (HTTPS-like) protocol implemented in chromium

mod_spdy is an Apache 2.x filter module that provides SPDY support in the Apache HTTPD web
server. Because mod_spdy is an Apache module, it can be loaded into currently deployed
Apache HTTPD 2.x web servers using mod_so.

mod_spdy provides two Apache filters: a connection-level filter on the input side, and a
transcode-level filter on the output side. The input filter receives SPDY frames and emits
HTTP requests, while the output filter receives HTTP responses and emits SPDY frames.
Additional details about the input and output filters are provided in the Details section.

I would also like this especially since the next firefox/iceweasel will have
SPDY support by default (version 13).

Hi Daniel,

You took ownership of this "bug" back in April last year. How is it
going?  Any progress.

Hello Daniel,

Any progress on this package?

If you have lost the interest in this package, you should maybe revert
this bug to a RFP so somebody else could take of it?

Cheers,

Laurent Bigonville
