Subject: inhibit applet should also inhibit suspend on lid close
Date: Fri, 29 Apr 2011 17:50:08 +0200
Package: gnome-power-manager
Version: 2.32.0-2
Severity: minor
File: /usr/lib/gnome-power-manager/gnome-inhibit-applet
Tags: upstream
Hi!
I'm a bit uncertain when the inhibit actually would inhibit suspend. It
doesn't seem to do that though on lid close, which I would expect. At
times, when I'm on the road, I like to use my laptop as music player,
but in general would like it to suspend on lid close nevertheless.
Somehow I assumed that the applet would enable me to do that.
There is a workaround, using the suspend function key on my laptop and
let the powermanager settings set to just blank the screen on lid close,
I guess a configure option for also supressing suspend on lid close
though could be very helpful.
Thanks for considering adding it,
Rhonda
