Package: php5
Version: 5.3.3-7+squeeze1
Severity: critical
Tags: upstream
Justification: breaks the whole system
There's a regression memleak in upstream as described there: http://bugs.php.net/bug.php?id=48781
This bug is easily reproducible with the code found on the upstream bugtracker.
Long running cli scripts eat all ram, then swap space, and render the whole system unstable.
Don't hesitate to contact me if you need further informations.

Package: php5
severity 622685 normal
thank you
Hi,
thank you for your bugreport. The issue seems to be serious, but the
severity is not correct. Eating all available memory is a almost
issue which could be circumvented by f.e. setting correct ulimit on
the process. Lowering the severity and I am not sure if this warrants
a stable update (Raphael what do you think?). We will fix it in
unstable when there is a fix.

After further checking, this bug _has_ been fixed in PHP 5.3.3 and the
regression was not confirmed
(see the link you sent)
