Package: libgnome-keyring0
Version: 2.32.0-1
Severity: grave
Justification: renders package unusable

Greetings!
I got libgnome-keyring0_3.0.0-1_amd64 with my full-update with SMXI this
morning.
After that, the keyring wouldn't remember any passwords, and empathy wouldn't
log into any accounts. A restart didn't help.
I downgraded to 2.32.0-1 and everything works again.

Telepathy outputs this message when using version 3.0.0-1 :
secret service operation failed: The algorithm 'dh-ietf1024-sha256-aes128-cbc-pkcs7' is not supported

and going back to 2.32 does fix it.

Package: libgnome-keyring0
Followup-For: Bug #622556

This also breaks gajim, python-keyring, python-gnomekeyring and possibly all
other packages using libgnome-kerying (73 packages according to the reverse
dependency, some of them being of the same source package of course).

I don't think it is possible to fix all these packages in a timely manner,
hence this should be fixed in libgnome-kerying0 though might not be that
easy (I realise this after reading quickly upstream changelog).

Cheers,
Julien

Subject: Out of sync versions?
Date: Wed, 13 Apr 2011 13:37:16 -0500
Is it possible that this is occurring because libgnome-keyring0 is out
of sync with gnome-keyring?

I'm experiencing this problem, and here are the versions I've got
installed:

ii gnome-keyring 2.30.3-5
ii libgnome-keyring0 3.0.0-1
ii libpam-gnome-keyring 2.30.3-5
ii python-gnomekeyring 2.30.0-4+b1

Upgrading gnome-keyring to 3.0.0-1 (from experimental) fixes the problem.

Someone needs to tighten the dependency between libgnome-keyring0 and
gnome-keyring, and/or push gnome-keyring into unstable.

You are 100% right. I had tried without closing my session, and it hadn't
worked.

gnome-keyring 3.0.0-2 has been moved to unstable. This solves the problem.
I guess this bug report can be closed now.
Thanks to posters and maintainers!

With the upload of gnome-keyring, this should now be fixed. We might
consider adding a breaks somewhere.
