Package: www.debian.org
Severity: normal

The following page suggests proprietary download managers for Windows and Mac
OS:

http://www.debian.org/CD/http-ftp/

Both Getright and Speed Download are non free.

For Windows:
I suggest to remove GetRight and leave only Free Download Manager which is free
software.
If you want to add another option I found WinWget:

http://www.cybershade.us/winwget/

For Mac OS:
I would like to suggest CocoaWget:
http://code.google.com/p/cocoawget/

Hope this helps.

Thank you.

Heya, as a background, Graziano discussed this issue with me and I
suggested to submit a proper bug report.

For what is worth, I agree with him that we should not suggest the usage
of non free download managers, no matter the target operating system.

Many thanks to Graziano who has not only spotted this issue but also
looked into alternative free software solutions for Windows and Mac.

Cheers.

Thanks for the notice. I agree with this opinion.
Another possible solution (or even additional) -- point people to the
comparison of download managers [0].

 0 : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of_download_managers

On this page lists download managers which compared by:
 * License
 * Interface (CLI / GUI)
 * Platforms (Linux / Windows / Mac OS)
 * Also presented supported by DMs protocols and their features.

With this link people will have freedom of choice of programm.
So patch can looks like this (attached).
