How does this relate to debians existing morse package?
http://packages.debian.org/squeeze/morse
There is an updated package of that waiting on mentors too:
http://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/main/m/morse/

both appear to use pulseaudio, could you port your gtk ui to the
existing morse?

karl,

I can see someone has added pulseaudio to the old morse package, however
it is not compatible with the approach I'm taking with this program. I
have many plans for features, some of which are currently being
implemented. I'll consider adding some of the command-line
functionality from morse, but trying to turn a cli program into a gui
program is like trying to put a square peg into a round hole. People
would expect to see their old cli when they install morse. morse-coach
is a completely different kind of morse code training program.

Hi,

This is an automatic email to change the status of morse-coach back from ITP
(Intent to Package) to RFP (Request for Package), because this bug hasn't seen
any activity during the last 12 months.

If you are still interested in adopting morse-coach, please send a mail to
<control@bugs.debian.org> with:

retitle 617867 ITP: morse-coach -- Koch method Morse code trainer for GTK+ and Pulseaudio
 owner 617867 !
 thanks

However, it is not recommended to keep ITP for a long time without acting on
the package, as it might cause other prospective maintainers to refrain from
packaging that software. It is also a good idea to document your progress on
this ITP from time to time, by mailing <617867@bugs.debian.org>.

Thank you for your interest in Debian,
