I've been in contact with Marc Olsen and he told me that Philologic 4 is upcoming which is going to
be reimplemented completey in Python. It is told that 4 is going to be far more flexible and
extensible and has been suggested that it would be waste to put any more maintenance ressources into
version 3. So I'm waiting until 4 comes out in a couple of weeks to pack it for Debian.

Daniel Stender

retitle 612381 RFP: philologic -- text analysis tool for digital corpora
noowner 612381
tag 612381 - pending
thanks

Hi,

This is an automatic email to change the status of philologic back from ITP
(Intent to Package) to RFP (Request for Package), because this bug hasn't seen
any activity during the last 12 months.

If you are still interested in adopting philologic, please send a mail to
<control@bugs.debian.org> with:

retitle 612381 ITP: philologic -- text analysis tool for digital corpora
 owner 612381 !
 thanks

However, it is not recommended to keep ITP for a long time without acting on
the package, as it might cause other prospective maintainers to refrain from
packaging that software. It is also a good idea to document your progress on
this ITP from time to time, by mailing <612381@bugs.debian.org>.

Thank you for your interest in Debian,

Packaging of Philologic 4 (cf. https://github.com/ARTFL-Project) is ahead. In the meanwhile an
article on it appeared in the TEI Journal, cf. http://jtei.revues.org/817.
