hi

I've Lenny installed and I've done an customized LIVE USB image with Swiss German keyboard layout using these commands:

# lh config -b usb-hdd --bootappend-live "locales=de_CH.UTF-8 keyboard-layouts=ch" --packages-list xfce
# lh_build[/code]

An binary.img was successfully created, but if I boot from this image then I still have default US keyboard under xfce.

First of all, Squeeze will be released Real Soon Now. Consider using it
instead.

Second, if you really must use Lenny, either read the doc for
live-initramfs in Lenny, as the option names are different.

Ben

Sorry, meant to delete the word "either". There may be other
alternatives, but none quite so appealing as switching to Squeeze at
this point. :)

first of all, you're using live-config boot parameters. are you using
live-config, or are you rather using live-initramfs which is the default
on lenny? if not, please look up the correct parameters in the
live-initramfs manpage for lenny.

second, even if you are using live-config on lenny, then the value for
keyboard-layouts is wrong, on lenny, you need to use 'sg', not 'ch'.

so, in any case, not a bug in live-config (and not in live-helper
anyway; live-helpers job is to only pass the boot parameters through,
not act upon them).

Regards,
Daniel
