Package: php5-sqlite
Version: 5.3.3-6
Severity: important

Hello,

After installing the php5-sqlite package on my server running squeeze, I
am still unable to use the php sqlite extension. I'm using lighttpd with
fastcgi, and I get the following error in my /var/log/lighttpd/error.log:

(mod_fastcgi.c.2701) FastCGI-stderr: PHP Fatal error: Class 'SQLiteDatabase' not found in /srv/www/some.example.net/test_sqlite.php on line 2

Where test_sqlite.php is the following:

<?
	$db = new SQLiteDatabase("test.db");
?>

Other php scripts work fine, it's only the sqlite that has an error.

Help!

Have you loaded sqlite extension in your php.ini? Especially if you have custom php.ini for fastcgi...

Please make sure the extension is actually enabled in the
configuration file used by your setup. A simple call to phpinfo()
should do it.

[Message part 1 (text/plain, inline)]
I haven't edited my php.ini -- it should be the same as what is in the
package. I would have thought that the postinst would make any changes to
the php config to enable the module.

I've attached my /etc/php5/cgi/php.ini. I also noticed the following:
$ grep sqlite /etc/php5/cgi/conf.d/*
/etc/php5/cgi/conf.d/pdo_sqlite.ini:extension=pdo_sqlite.so
/etc/php5/cgi/conf.d/sqlite.ini:extension=sqlite.so
/etc/php5/cgi/conf.d/sqlite3.ini:extension=sqlite3.so

So, to my inexperienced eye, it seems like it should be enabled.

Okay, I feel a bit silly. I just restarted lighttpd and now it works.
It would have been nice if the postinst told me to do that, but no worries
now.

Thanks for the assistance!
