When I run an application using desktop files (e.g., geeqie), I get the
following warning message:

Desktop file '/usr/share/applications/xaos.desktop' should not include
extension in Icon key: 'xaos.png'

Also, the `desktop-file-validate' utility warns about this problem (and
one more). Could you please fix it?

Dear Maintainer,

this problem still exists: when starting geeqie, a warning about the
file /usr/share/applications/xaos.desktop is printed:

$ geeqie
Could not init LIRC support
Desktop file '/usr/share/applications/xaos.desktop' should not include extension in Icon key: 'xaos.png'

Specifying an extension restricts themability. If no extension is specified,
PNG, XPM, and SVG icons can be used in themes, otherwise the specified
extension must be matched durin icon lookup.

Please consider removing the icon's extension in the desktop file,
e.g. using sed -i 's/Icon=xaos.png/Icon=xaos/' xaos.desktop .
