can't get systemwide configurations get included via chroot_local-includes.
user config files get included but nothing under etc and the like. maybe a
problem with ownership? dunno. i chowned and chmoded the stuff i need already
dozens of times. last time i tried to make a live cd this way was about 1 1/2
years ago with the live-helper package on lenny and it worked great. now everything
seems to be fucked up plus the manual sucks big time! is it too much asked to use
a plain and simple docbook style sheet? why do i have to scroll down 6 pages on every
site just to come to the text? have you ever tried to read your manual with a
text based browser? i wasted about 12 hours of my precious time while trying to
make a custom live cd this way, a task which i wasn't able to finish yet. if you
ask me, the whole live build suite is totally unusable and sucks big time. you
guys really messed this up. sorry for this unfriendly bug report but this looks
like a serious regression to me. where is the point of making 'customized' cd's,
if one can't even include a bunch of systemwide config files? this really sucks!
thanks for wasting my time with crappy software! i swear to never use it again.

works for me and numerous other peoples. must be a local issue. can you
give the listing of your config/chroot_local-includes directory?

Please calm down, read "Reporting bugs" in the manual, and follow the
advice there. There is almost zero technical content in your bug report.
If you really want help, you'll need to help us by including some substance.

chroot_local-includes does work, so at the very least the bug needs to
be retitled, and without evidence backing up your claim this bug will
simply be closed.

If you have constructive criticism about the manual that can actually be
acted on (i.e. that isn't just a rant) you should file a separate bug on
live-manual.

Regards,
Ben
