Subject: ampache: Flash playback doesn't work

Package: ampache
Version: 3.5.4-7
Severity: normal

Hi,
The flash player doesn't load correctly. It seems to be loaded, if i
right click in the flash player popup i been get the Adobe Flash context
menu, and an entry in it "Movie not loaded". The flash player stay
white.

Tested with iceweasel, konqueror, opera and IE. All get the same issue.

Flashplugin info:
ii flashplugin-nonfree 2:10.1.82.76.

The flashplugin-nonfree works ok for other things on the web. Didn't
discover any issue with it.

Previously the ampache flash player worked like a charm and with the
flashplayer it's my only use.

Kind regards,
David Van Mosselbeen

David,
Thank you for the bug report.

I refer you to debian bug #591202 and this thread on debian-devel mailing list

http://lists.debian.org/debian-devel/2010/08/msg00082.html

Until free tools become available to compile xspf_jukebox.fla at
package build time, these files will not be included in the package
sorry. :(

However as soon as squeeze gets released and the archives thaw I do
have some patches that help with this. As a work around I have
created a little script that when run will download the flash player
and place it in the proper location. Place the attached file in
/usr/share/ampache/www/bin then run it with bash
/usr/share/ampache/www/ampache/bin/grab_xspf.sh and you should have
your flash player back (please make sure flash is installed prior to
running the script).

Or you can go to lacy morrows website download the xspf_jukebox.swf
file and place it into /usr/share/ampache/www/modules/flash

http://lacymorrow.com/projects/jukebox/source.zip

Best regards
Charlie Smotherman

Sorry guys,

I missed the info in /usr/share/doc/ampache/README.Debian.gz where
there's noted where to download the flash music player (XSPF JUKEBOX
FLASH PLAYER) from and where to store it.

This report can be closed as invalid or somethings like that. As it just
work after copying the file to the right place.

Sorry again for the waste,
Kind regards,
David Van Mosselbeen
