Hi

Only had a short look at the new upstream version: 3.304. When trying
to build on gabrielli.d.o it still hangs on the same test:

t/35_sigparser.t .....
1..4
ok 1 - use

Hello,

thank you for maintaining libverilog-perl.

libverilog-perl 3.251-1 is currently in squeeze and sid and has RC bugs
open against it.

Considering that the package has a very small number of users, that
we're supposed to release fairly soon, and that this issue looks not
that easy to solve, it may be a good idea to just remove libverilog-perl
from testing and deal with this comfortably in unstable.

Would it make sense for you?

Ciao,

Enrico

According to the BTS and the build logs the problems start with
version 3.303-1; 3.251-1 in squeeze still built fine:

In general I'm all for starting to remove fringe packages from testing
(thanks for your initiative!) but unless I'm mistaken in this case it
doesn't seem to be necessary.

Cheers,
gregor

Yes, sorry, my fault. I've updated the comment on

Subject: Upstream needs a QEMU image for mips arch
Date: Sat, 21 May 2011 12:57:48 +0200
[Message part 1 (text/plain, inline)]
Hello,

Upstream tried to debug the issue on the squeeze QEMU mips image on
http://people.debian.org/~aurel32/qemu/mips/, but it seems that this
image is outdated [1], and the build worked fine with him.

Could someone provide a link for a squeeze or wheezy QEMU mips image
on which those bugs actually happen ?

Another option is that a DD would sponsor for upstream a guest account
[2] on one of Debian machines.

You may try to follow instructions listed on
http://www.aurel32.net/info/debian_mips_qemu.php
to make a new qemu image (instructions are for etch, but I guess it
could work for Wheezy as well by updating what's relevant).
