Since the latest upgrade I see a lot of PAM error messages in my log:
Aug 2 22:26:52 sol authdaemond: PAM unable to dlopen(/lib/security/pam_cap.so): /lib/security/pam_cap.so: undefined symbol: pam_get_item
Aug 2 22:26:52 sol authdaemond: PAM adding faulty module: /lib/security/pam_cap.so
They seem to appear every time I login on my IMAP server (courier-imap-ssl).
There is a similar bug report at Launchpad [1]. I rebuilt the package with the
attached patch and the messages stopped to appear.

The fix for bug 591410 appears to be have been dropped from
libcap2 1:2.20-1, which gives me:
May 8 22:51:08 debian authdaemond: PAM unable to dlopen(/lib/security/pam_cap.so): /lib/security/pam_cap.so: undefined symbol: pam_get_item
May 8 22:51:08 debian authdaemond: PAM adding faulty module: /lib/security/pam_cap.so
May 8 22:51:08 debian authdaemond: pam_unix(imap:auth): authentication failure; logname= uid=0 euid=0 tty= ruser= rhost= user=serge
In fact, -lpam is no longer being added to pam_cap's LDLIBS.
