Package: audacious
Version: 2.3-2
Severity: normal
The usage of CPU is now very high aprox 20-40% (depends on song played)
with audacious version 2.1-1 and playing same songs cpu was about 2-5 %
Since audacious is defined as small and fast audio player, it will be no
interesting with such a high cpu usage.

Playing a stereo, 22050 Hz, 77 kbps Vorbis file (resampled to 44100 Hz)
on an Intel Core 2 Duo T6400 at 2 GHz:
Cpu(s): 0.9%us, 0.0%sy, 0.0%ni, 99.0%id, 0.0%wa, 0.0%hi, 0.0%si, 0.0%st
Your high CPU usage may be a problem with your audio output system. Try
outputting to ALSA device "hw:0,0".
