Package: wnpp
Severity: normal

I request an adopter for the libvigraimpex package.

The package description is:

Vision with Generic Algorithms (VIGRA) is a computer vision library that
puts its main emphasis on flexible algorithms, because algorithms
represent the principle know-how of this field. The library was
consequently built using generic programming as introduced by Stepanov
and Musser and exemplified in the C++ Standard Template Library. By
writing a few adapters (image iterators and accessors) you can use
VIGRA's algorithms on top of your data structures, within your
environment.

No news in six months while there is clearly work to do on this package. I
guess that Leo is no longer interested.

There is some good news, though: An updated version
(1.8.0+dfsg-0ubuntu2) has been uploaded to Ubuntu a couple of days ago.

Hi,

This is an automatic email to change the status of libvigraimpex back from ITA
(Intent to Adopt) to O (Orphaned), because this bug hasn't seen any activity
during the last 6 months.

If you are still interested in adopting libvigraimpex, please send a mail to
<control@bugs.debian.org> with:

retitle 587063 ITA: libvigraimpex -- C++ computer vision library
 owner 587063 !
 thanks

However, it is not recommended to keep ITA for a long time without acting on
the package, as it might cause other prospective maintainers to refrain from
adopting the package. It is also a good idea to document your progress on this
ITA from time to time, by mailing <587063@bugs.debian.org>.

Thank you for your interest in Debian,
