You call this a bug report?

What were you doing when you saw this problem?  Did you have anything
playing?  If so, was it a local file, a CD, or an internet stream?  What
format was it?  Did Audacious print any errors on the console?

Once you have answered all these questions, the developers can try to
reproduce this bug.  You should also attach your Audacious configuration
file in case they have trouble doing so.  It may be that the problem is
caused by a particular option.

I was playing mp3-files from a local disk.

The bug is a lot more sophisticated than your original description was.
The bug appears only when playing MP3 files, and only because you
changed madplug's "fast_play_time_calc" option to FALSE.  I guess stupid
users like you shouldn't change sophisticated settings like that. ;)

At any rate, 2.4 will have a new MP3 plugin based on libmpg123, which
handles length calculation automatically.
