I installed the openafs modules but they are built for the wrong kernel
(latest vs running).

Installed modules:

Running kernel: Linux 2.6.33-686 (SMP w/2 CPU cores)

When I run dkms manually it print an error about missing headers.

Perhaps that should be reported when the package is configured.

I'm reassigning this to the dkms package, which has responsibility for
what happens in the maintainer scripts of packages that use it (via
dh_dkms).
