I can confirm this problem with moved .pytrainer/ directory.

$ mv .pytrainer/ .pytrainer.moved/
... start pytrainer....
$ cat .pytrainer/log.out 
2010-05-17 16:34:14,241|ERROR|profile|__init__|Seems no data available in local configuration file: /home/nk/.pytrainer/conf.xml, please check
2010-05-17 16:34:14,241|ERROR|profile|__init__|Fatal error, exiting

Configurations from former versions (eg 1.7.1) are running fine thats
why I didn't noticed this problem.
