[Message part 1 (text/plain, inline)]
Package: gdm3
Version: 2.30.0-2
Severity: normal

Hallo!

I've a problem to start Compiz automatically with Gnome.
I've followed this guide: http://wiki.debian.org/Compiz, but when I login with
gdm3, the system ignores such file, and starts Metacity instead Compiz.

So I've tried both to set gconf-editor so: desktop>session>required-
component>windowmanager=compiz, and login by another user, but they also
failed.

The only way to load Compiz is to add 'compiz --replace' in start-applications.

Further, when I start with Metacity, I have this warning in ~/.xsession-errors
file: Apertura del file
"/home/mrmonkey/.config/metacity/sessions/103355c1a749a67235126426803715640200000024830020.ms"
non riuscita: No such file or directory,
although Metacity starts in seemingly regular way.

Can you solved it?

Thank you very much for your attention!

Same problem in my pc (Debian Sid i386), but with gdm 2.20.10-3.

The only important difference is that, if I try to start compiz in any
other different way from the "compiz - replace", the system does not
load ANY window manager.

Ciao and thanks,
Domenico

It was my own problem with some files in ~/.compiz/session/. Now I have
solved and it works fine.

Excuse me if I report a false bug! I think you can close here.

Cheers!

Filippo :)
