This package provides modules for the OGR library functions directly from
 PHP scripts.
 .
PHP5 is an HTML-embedded scripting language. Much of its syntax is borrowed
from C, Java and Perl with a couple of unique PHP-specific features thrown
in. The goal of the language is to allow web developers to write dynamically
generated pages quickly. This version of PHP5 was built with the Suhosin patch.

You can find the package here:

http://mentors.debian.net/cgi-bin/sponsor-pkglist?action=details;package=php-ogr

I still need to do some work on the Apache configuration files, and
then make it lintian clean, but it's mostly there.
I'd also like to double check the dependencies.

Yes, just talked with Alan about that. He would add some changes to the
upstream part before releasing.

retitle 578454 RFP: php-ogr -- OGR module for php5
noowner 578454
thanks

Hi,

This is an automatic email to change the status of php-ogr back from ITP
(Intent to Package) to RFP (Request for Package), because this bug hasn't seen
any activity during the last 6 months.

If you are still interested in adopting php-ogr, please send a mail to
<control@bugs.debian.org> with:

 retitle 578454 ITP: php-ogr -- OGR module for php5
 owner 578454 !
 thanks

However, it is not recommended to keep ITP for a long time without acting on
the package, as it might cause other prospective maintainers to refrain from
packaging that software. It is also a good idea to document your progress on
this ITP from time to time, by mailing <578454@bugs.debian.org>.

Thank you for your interest in Debian,
