Message #5 received at submit@bugs.debian.org (full text, mbox, reply):
Package: irssi-plugin-silc
Version: 1.1.7-1
Severity: important
Ever since upgrading irssi to 0.8.15, the SILC plugin has not worked.
The error appears like this:
0. Have irssi-plugin-silc installed
1. In any irssi window, say "/load silc"
2. Witness the following error
11:07 -!- Irssi: Error loading module silc/core:
/usr/lib/irssi/modules/libsilc_core.so: undefined symbol:
server_setup_find_port
11:07 -!- Irssi: Loaded module silc/fe
Rebuilding the plugin against irssi 0.8.15 sources doesn't seem to
help. At a quick glance, I can't see any changelog entries in either
irssi or silc-plugin that could have caused this.

[Message part 1 (text/plain, inline)]
Hello
Apparently this function was removed from Irssi[1]. I have created a
very simple patch (attached to this mail, created with quilt), which
does exactly the same thing as the now in-existent function but in the
silc-plugin itself.
I'm not sure if this is the right way to get the patch to the
appropriate people (or if they accept patches at all), so if I'm wrong
here: please tell me.
Best regards,
Stefan

Thanks a lot for the patch. It does indeed work perfectly. Because the
package is completely broken at the moment, I suggest using this patch
for the time being until a better alternative has been found.
