Currently euca2ools does not read the $HOME/.eucarc file that it is supposed
to. This is described in the Ubuntu bug tracker at
https://bugs.launchpad.net/eucalyptus/+bug/524652. It is easy to fix with
the information provided there, just modifying one line in the euca2ools
module source file.

I think that the current plan is to focus on packaging the next upstream
release, that will solve that problem. But if it would help you that I apply
the Ubuntu patch to the current Debian package, just let me know.

I would prefer if upstream would address that. We should not have such
functional (albeit practical) diffs in Debian.
