Package: wnpp
Severity: wishlist
Owner: Adrian Glaubitz <glaubitz@physik.fu-berlin.de>

Hi,

I would like to package qhimdtransfer for Debian which is the graphical frontend
to a library called libhimd which we also develop. libhimd is also intended for
packaging in another ITP (#533112) in Debian. Up to now, we are linking qhimdtranfer
statically against libhimd since we expect still a lot of changes to the code in
the library.

* Package name    : qhimdtransfer
  Version         : 0.0.1
  Upstream Author : Adrian Glaubitz <glaubitz@physik.fu-berlin.de>
* URL             : https://wiki.physik.fu-berlin.de/linux-minidisc
* License         : GPL
  Programming Lang: C, C++
  Description : Transfer software for HiMD Walkman

qhimdtransfer is a transfer software for HiMD Walkman. These
MiniDisc devices provide a USB interface to transfer music tracks
to and from the device. Since HiMD uses a special, proprietary
container format, a special software is required for transfer.

retitle 571647 RFP: qhimdtransfer -- Transfer software for HiMD Walkman
noowner 571647
thanks

Hi,

This is an automatic email to change the status of qhimdtransfer back from ITP
(Intent to Package) to RFP (Request for Package), because this bug hasn't seen
any activity during the last 6 months.

If you are still interested in adopting qhimdtransfer, please send a mail to
<control@bugs.debian.org> with:

 retitle 571647 ITP: qhimdtransfer -- Transfer software for HiMD Walkman
 owner 571647 !
 thanks

However, it is not recommended to keep ITP for a long time without acting on
the package, as it might cause other prospective maintainers to refrain from
packaging that software. It is also a good idea to document your progress on
this ITP from time to time, by mailing <571647@bugs.debian.org>.

Thank you for your interest in Debian,

if anyone cares, the package is still on mentors [1] and is being
constantly updated. qhimdtransfer is 100% free software and does not
infringe any copyrights from Sony or other affiliated companies. Nor
does it include any problematic keys which are not to be
disclosed. The software is available in 17 languages and provides
basic access to Sony Hi-MD Walkman, being the _only_ free software to
provide that functionality.

Hi,

I have consolidated this ITP together with #533112 and #638968
into the new ITP for the source package linux-minidisc [1]
and I am therefore closing this ITP.

Cheers,

Adrian
