[Message part 1 (text/plain, inline)]
Package: patch
Version: 2.5-2
Severity: important

patch doesn't build correctly on 32 bit systems with glibc2.1. The resulting
binary always fails with the message '**** fseek : Invalid argument'.

The reason for this is, that with the current CFLAGS fseeko() is never
declared and thus not redirected to fseeko64() either, while off_t is (to
__off64_t). This causes the 32 bit fseeko() to be called with a 64 bit
argument, which of course fails.

This problem is fixed by adding -D_XOPEN_SOURCE=500 to the CFLAGS.
