Recommends php5-suhosin which as of PHP 5.3 is no longer shipped as and
individual package since PHP 5.3 is patched and compiled with the
php5-suhosin patch.

The php5-suhosin package does still exist. It is at the moment
uninstallable because of the transition to 5.3 and its new API, but
that applies to every other extension not shipped by php itslef. This
will be addressed soon and doesn't require any bug report.

And no, the suhosin patch is not the same as the suhosin extension.

Suhosin extension and suhosin patch are two separate thing. Suhosin  
extension probably need rebuild due new api, but this is handle as  
transition and probably needs to be reported only when nothing happen  
for a longer time.
