Here's a patch that adds a -V option to dh_dkms, so that one no longer
has to edit dkms.conf after each upstream release.

One nitpick: you changed the manpage to state that PACKAGE_VERSION is
affected, but this will not be the case unless it is explicitly set to
"#MODULE_VERSION#" first.  This is not mentioned anywhere in the
documentation.
