Hi John!

I am not very familiar with the debian bug tracking system, but I am 
running debian squeeze, fully updated, where the installed audacious 
version is Version: 2.1-1+b1
So, I can't test version 2.3, except if I miss something...

Read http://www.debian.org/releases.

Testing does not always have the most up to date packages.  However, you
can often install packages from unstable or experimental (not to mention
upstream) on it.

2.3 has now migrated to testing, however, so you should get it just by
installing updates.
