Hi,

anybody still working on packging grails (debbug 473213)? I'd need it as a
dependency for Katta (debbug 561948). Is there any VCS with the packaging,
where somebody else could pick up?

Best regards,

Thomas Koch, http://www.koch.ro

Hello Thomas,

Well, I am still working on packaging grails, but that doesn't seem to
be completed
anytime soon since there are several Build-Deps not available in
Debian currently.

I'm currently packaging one of those missing Build-Deps, and when all those
would be packaged then we really could talk about having grails in Debian.

I do not think grails will be ready for squeeze.
Sorry, I don't have a handy VCS with grails packaging. I preferred to focus
on packaging its missing Build-Deps.

Regards,

I finished the packaging some months ago, but have not asked for a sponsor
since I'm not sure if I'll really end up using Katta or some other system.

So if you'd like to have katta in Debian, please get in contact with me. Maybe
you'd like to take over the package? The repo is here:

retitle 561948 RFP: katta -- scalable data storage using hadoop
noowner 561948
thanks

Hi,

This is an automatic email to change the status of katta back from ITP
(Intent to Package) to RFP (Request for Package), because this bug hasn't seen
any activity during the last 6 months.

If you are still interested in adopting katta, please send a mail to
<control@bugs.debian.org> with:

retitle 561948 ITP: katta -- scalable data storage using hadoop
 owner 561948 !
 thanks

However, it is not recommended to keep ITP for a long time without acting on
the package, as it might cause other prospective maintainers to refrain from
packaging that software. It is also a good idea to document your progress on
this ITP from time to time, by mailing <561948@bugs.debian.org>.

Thank you for your interest in Debian,
