Message #5 received at submit@bugs.debian.org (full text, mbox, reply):
Package: linux-image-2.6.30-2-686 Version: 2.6.30-8 Severity: important Hi When I try to build eclipse 3.5 from source the compile is usually interrupted by the kernel deferencing a NULL pointer in (as far as I can tell) my file system driver. I do not see this during "normal" usage[1]. The attached log contains two separate deferences from two separate build attempts. This may not be of relevance, however: * The base system is testing while I build in cowbuilder against sid. - I have not tried to run the build directly in my base system (outside cowbuilder). Thank you in advance, ~Niels [1] I do not really use it for anything besides building packages. -- Package-specific info: ** Version: Linux version 2.6.30-2-686 (Debian 2.6.30-8) (waldi@debian.org) (gcc version 4.3.4 (Debian 4.3.4-3) ) #1 SMP Sat Sep 26 01:16:22 UTC 2009 ** Command line: BOOT_IMAGE=/vmlinuz-2.6.30-2-686 root=UUID=391295c1-0454-43f0-8880-b342aae671a4 ro vga=791 ** Tainted: G D (128) ** Kernel log: [ 10.195887] msp3400 1-0040: MSP3410G-B11 found @ 0x80 (bt878 #0 [sw]) [ 10.209842] msp3400 1-0040: msp3400 supports nicam and radio, mode is autodetect and autoselect [ 10.224236] bttv0: registered device video0 [ 10.238211] bttv0: registered device vbi0 [ 10.251882] bttv0: registered device radio0 [ 10.282519] bttv0: PLL: 28636363 => 35468950 .. ok [ 11.112500] Adding 3903784k swap on /dev/sda2. Please report this at <http://bugzilla.kernel.org> under product 'File System', component 'XFS' and let us know the bug number so we can track it. You should attach the kernel log that was included in your mail. Ben. -- Ben Hutchings Unix is many things to many people, but it's never been everything to anybody.
