Bumping this to serious as the package clearly fails to operate with a
kernel from Squeeze and with my current 2.6.35 kernel from Sid.

Justification already given in original report.

I'm going to seek the removal of gpib from Squeeze on the basis of this
report and bug #577321

Hi,

I think I have a fix for both #577321 and #550932. It involves updating
the package to linux-gpib 3.2.16, then applying several patches from the
upstream Subversion repository and rebuilding the configure script and
Automake inputs using the bootstrap script.

This took me the best part of a day to finish....

Now -- how do I go about submitting my patch to resolve these bugs?
