Mounted cifs shares cannot be accessed from within geeqie.
The directory with the mounted share is hidden in the directory listing.
Trying to pass the path as a command line parameter results in the following error:

invalid or ignored: /home/gmk/net/share
Use --help for options

Tested shares are on Windows machines (Vista + XP).

could you please try to strace geeqie as requested by upstream?

You could leave a comment on the upstream bug tracker, at the url I've

The problem seems to be somewhere in stat() system call. Exploring it
with gdb gives the following:

(gdb) print stat("/smb/natalie.campus:music/music", &stat_buf)
$9 = -1

mount command shows

//natalie.campus/music on /smb/natalie.campus:music/music type cifs (rw,mand)

I can only reproduce this on linux-2.6.31, linux-2.6.30 is OK.

please rebuild this package with CFLAGS=-D_FILE_OFFSET_BITS=64. That
