Hi David,

I see that you registered an "intent to adopt" for opencryptoki in March 2012,
but I see no progress since then. Are you still working on this ?

http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=543925
http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/pkgreport.cgi?src=opencryptoki

I also don't see updates from you in package pykcs11 since 2008. Do you still
work on that package ?

Yes I have gone through several iterations of the package with my sponsor,
Thomas Bushnell, BSG, and I expect him to upload my package soon.

I have not been for Debian recently (indeed I had forgotten I submitted the
ITP). I would like to resume work on the Debian maintenance of it if there
are open bugs, and which I will check for shortly, but opencryptoki is the
more important package to me. I'm not using any applications that rely on
pykcs11 so if you are or are just interested in it I would be happy to
discuss more.

Thanks for the queries,
David

Hi David,

As you are apparently active on taking over this package, I would
appreciate it if you can put a comment on the security bug reported
against opencryptoki [1] stating so much. (You are fixing that, right?) ;)

I was looking into the bug for the Debian Wheezy release, but if there
is already action, I don't need to do it. Also, are you trying to get
the fix for [1] into wheezy, i.e. are your changes compliant with the
freeze exceptions [2]?

Paul

Sure thing, Paul. But currently I am on vacation with my family and mostly
away from my computer and Internet. Please allow me to follow up on this by
the end of the first week of November.

retitle 543925 O: opencryptoki -- PKCS#11 implementation for Linux (daemon)
noowner 543925
tag 543925 - pending
thanks

Hi,

This is an automatic email to change the status of opencryptoki back from ITA
(Intent to Adopt) to O (Orphaned), because this bug hasn't seen any activity
during the last 6 months.

If you are still interested in adopting opencryptoki, please send a mail to
<control@bugs.debian.org> with:

retitle 543925 ITA: opencryptoki -- PKCS#11 implementation for Linux (daemon)
 owner 543925 !
 thanks

However, it is not recommended to keep ITA for a long time without acting on
the package, as it might cause other prospective maintainers to refrain from
adopting the package. It is also a good idea to document your progress on this
ITA from time to time, by mailing <543925@bugs.debian.org>.

Thank you for your interest in Debian,
