Package: www.debian.org
Severity: wishlist
X-Debbugs-CC: project-debaday@teams.debian.net

debaday.debian.net is a site that publishes reviews of Debian & Ubuntu
packages. They just started publishing a YAML index of all their reviews
and the binary packages they are for:

http://debaday.debian.net/site-index/

It would be nice if packages.d.o could link to the review for packages
with a review or to the review submission page for other packages. The
link text for the former could be "Read a review for this package!" and
the latter could be "Be the first to review this package!", or similar.

No feedback on this, right? It would be nice to have...

I have tried to get the RSS feed from debaday.debian.net since two
week and there is no response.

According to http://lists.debian.org/debian-www/2009/12/msg00141.html
(Dec 2009), the problem seems to be not recent.

Please be notified that the any .debian.net domain isn't under the
umbrella of the website team, so filing a bugreport against
www.debian.org is wrong for those. I'm closing these bugreports.

 <http://wiki.debian.org/DebianNetDomains> has some informations about
debian.net domains, the two you listed though aren't in there. In the
case that the host entries are A records you can query DNS for the TXT
type for them for contact informations though:

rhonda@edna:~$ host -t txt debaday.debian.net
debaday.debian.net descriptive text "Martin Zobel-Helas <zobel@debian.org>"
debaday.debian.net descriptive text "PGP 5DB3 1301 375A A50F 07E7 302F 493E FB8E 5D64 F870"
rhonda@edna:$ host -t txt times.debian.net
times.debian.net descriptive text "Andreas Barth <aba@debian.org>"
times.debian.net descriptive text "PGP E820 0948 8397 4FDC 3CD0 0EC6 99D3 99A1 EC36 A185"

Thus - copying your report to the owners of the zone entries.

 Thanks,
Rhonda

#543343 is about adding links to debaday in packages.d.o pages. Just
because it is currently down, doesn't mean we should abandon this.

CCing Tincho, ana who were running it IIRC, do either of you have any
info on when it will be back?

It was Tincho who was taking care of it by the time it died, I was only
looking at stuff ocassionally. I offered Tincho months ago hosting debaday
together along the WP I already have for http://news.debian.net [0] and
he said he would think about it. It seems to be a though decision :)

[0] With upcoming WordPress 3.0 all the WP installations will be
"Multi-site" so you have one single WP installation to take care with
all the blogs you want.

As it's still down, closing the bug.
Feel free to unarchive/reopen it in case debaday lives again.
