* Package name    : VistA
  Version         : To be determined
  Upstream Author : K.S. Bhaskar <ks.bhaskar@fnis.com>
* URL             : http://worldvista.org/AboutVistA
* License         : Public domain, GPL v2, AGPL v3
  Programming Lang: MUMPS
  Description : Real time health care information system including electronic health record

VistA is the complete health care information system (HIS) which is
developed and used by the US Department of Veterans Affairs to run all
of its hospitals and clinics. It is in the public domain through the
US Freedom of Information Act. Versions are also in use both in the
US and internationally, including the US Department of Defense, the US
Indian Health Service, the Mexican Instituto Mexicano del Seguro
Social, etc. There are also flavors of VistA provided by WorldVistA
(http://worldvista.org) and Medsphere (http://medsphere.org).

I intend to create a VistA meta package that can be satisfied by other
packages, such as WorldVistA EHR or OpenVista.

This a) doesn't belong in the package description, b) is false. The FOIA
has no bearing on copyright; no work written by the US government is subject
to copyright, for reasons unrelated to the FOIA.

I don't think this belongs in the package description either.

Cheers,

retitle 541242 RFP: vista -- Real time health care information system including electronic health record
noowner 541242
thanks

Hi,

This is an automatic email to change the status of vista back from ITP
(Intent to Package) to RFP (Request for Package), because this bug hasn't seen
any activity during the last 6 months.

If you are still interested in adopting vista, please send a mail to
<control@bugs.debian.org> with:

 retitle 541242 ITP: vista -- Real time health care information system including electronic health record
 owner 541242 !
 thanks

However, it is not recommended to keep ITP for a long time without acting on
the package, as it might cause other prospective maintainers to refrain from
packaging that software. It is also a good idea to document your progress on
this ITP from time to time, by mailing <541242@bugs.debian.org>.

Thank you for your interest in Debian,

[Message part 1 (text/plain, inline)]
This effort is awaiting the completion of the worldvista-ehr package (bug
541245) which in turn awaits the packaging of FIS GT.M (bug 541207).
Once I create a worldvista-ehr package, I will create a vista
meta-package for which WorldVistA EHR will be one of the alternatives.
