A bug was introduced in 5.2.9RC1 causing problems with array_unique:

which causes problem with (among others) eZ Publish.

Please back-port the bug fix to 5.2.9 or upgrade testing to 5.2.10.

Note that 5.2.10 has been uploaded to unstable a month ago already. Packages 
migrate from unstable to testing automatically. It hasn't migrated yet 
because some packages that depend on a specific PHP api haven't been upgraded 
in testing yet. This will be solved in due time.

I'm closing the bug with the sid version of PHP 5.2.10. This will mark it as 
open between versions 5.2.9 and 5.2.10.
