[Message part 1 (text/plain, inline)]
Package: linux-image-2.6.26-2-amd64
Version: 2.6.26-15lenny3
Severity: normal

hi, I have a American Power Conversion Uninterruptible Power Supply
(see attachment for USB info)

The USB cable is a bit loose and sometimes it misbehaves; in the last case,
it filled the kern.log with the 52208 equal messages:
 " usbhid: control queue full"

When I tried to adjust the cable, the kernel oopsesd as in attachement

a.

Hi,
The next release of Debian (6.0, code name Squeeze) will be based
on 2.6.32. Please test the current 2.6.32 from unstable/testing and tell
us whether the problem persists. If so, we should report it upstream
to the kernel.org developers.

The 2.6.32 kernel is available from packages.debian.org and can
be installed in both Debian stable, testing and unstable
installations.

Thanks,
        Moritz

hi,

some more info,

when I start the apcupsd daemon (and it does not crash)
then the daemon, ~ every 2 minutes, sends me
an email claiming that
"Communications restored with UPS "

It seems that somehow the USB is getting reinitialized
(the strange fact is that I never get a message like
"Communications lost" )

This was not happening with the 2.6.26 kernel

a.

ps:
The kernel log contains also a lot of messages
 "Uncharging too much"

It does persist.
