Hello,
Since the update to version 2.0.1-1, it is not possible to access the playlist
window.
/usr/sbin/audacious2 fired in a xterm barf the following message :
(audacious2:21048): Gdk-CRITICAL **: gdk_x11_atom_to_xatom_for_display: assertion `atom != GDK_NONE' failed
both at startup and while trying to access the playlist.
FYI, I'm using fluxbox as my window manager.

Try with a blank configuration and see if that helps the situation.
There may be an incompatibility that needs investigating.

Smart thinking. Starting with a blank configuration fixes the playlist
access problem.
The following message still show up at startup or at each access to the
playlist :
(audacious2:7539): Gdk-CRITICAL **: gdk_x11_atom_to_xatom_for_display:
assertion `atom != GDK_NONE' failed

Hmm. We don't call gdk_x11_atom_to_xatom_for_display in Audacious as
far as I know, but I will have someone more familiar with the skins
interface look at it.

Hi,
I just came across this same error in a program of mine, and happened
to notice it in audacious2 today too. I dug a bit deeper, and this
code is usually not called directly. I.e. a call to gtk_dialog_run()
can cause this, as it calls gdk_window_set_modal_hint () which a few
levels down translates to a call to gdk_x11_atom_to_xatom_for_display
(). I just have no clue why the lookup for a cached atom returns null.
I also noticed bug # 533128 , where someone noted that this only
happens on dual head machines (I am on dual head too). How about the
reporter for this bug?
Thanks,
~David

Hi,
I found out that it is a bug in gdk, see # 580511 in the gtk / gnome
bugzilla. So nothing is wrong with audacious after all in regards to
the gtk critical. Just the incompatibility of config files between v1
and v2 happened here too, I couldn't look at the playlist until I
deleted my configuration directory.

This will be nearly impossible to debug without the configuration that
caused it. Just saying.

Since you are the only user who has seen this bug and apparently have
not been able to reproduce it since clearing your configuration, it does
not qualify as severity important. If you see it happen again, let me

Hello John,
Ok, with the downgrade.
You can even close the bug and mention in
/usr/share/doc/audacious/Readme.Debian.gz for ex, that starting
audacious with a fresh/clean configuration might solve some
incompatibility issue in conf files during upgrade.
Thanks for the package.

This problem with obsolete configuration files applies to an upgrade
