Package: wnpp
Severity: normal
Description below:
Description: ImageMagick module for php5
This package provides a wrapper for ImageMagick library
directly from PHP scripts.
.
PHP5 is an HTML-embedded scripting language. Much of its syntax is borrowed
from C, Java and Perl with a couple of unique PHP-specific features thrown
in. The goal of the language is to allow web developers to write
dynamically generated pages quickly.

Hmm, strangely, I could not find it either on or mentors in the incoming and
of course in the repository. Also in any other package it is not passed.
In any case, at the moment. If I got a little ahead, then I'm sorry, do not
wait.

php-imagick is in the repository:
http://packages.qa.debian.org/p/php-imagick.html
You probably wanted to fill a wishlist bug on php-imagick package to
pull new upstream version.
ITA request are just for entirely new packages. Please read Debian
Developer reference...

And that's what you had in mind when close bug.
Sorry, I did not pay attention to the ITA and ITP who were there.
The point is that the package is very old version, a bug over a year and owner
of bug pkg-php-maint.
So if no one is against, then I will accompany him:)
No reply from Guillaume Delacour (who also replaced ITA), from owner - the
same.

Yes, the package did not have been uploaded since this date.
I don't manage to find a sponsor to upload it in the archive.
> I updated the package to the latest version (3.0.0b2) and fix lintian errors

I'm not sure that the latest beta version is a good idea.
I would have preferred using stable 2.3.0 version (?).
> I can send you a complete package, or if you do not mind, will be maintainer.
Before taking over a package, it's good to wait some days/weeks after
pinging the owner.
Anyway, you can take over this package: consider joining the
pkg-php-maint team to maintain this package and find sponsors for upload.
About the php-imagick compilation, there is some warning at build time

Coin,
This package has at least 2 major bugs which render it totally
unusuable and block PHP 5.3 transition for people using it. It will
probably be out of Squeeze if we don't act quickly.
Guillaume, you claimed to be willing to adopt this package in #530621,
but to lack a sponsor. If you still intend to work on this package, i
would be glad to sponsor you.
Regards.

Yes, i've already make some changes in the package.
But i intented to clean debian/rules to be more close than others
php-related packages. I'm afraid, i didn't have the time to devote to
accomplish totaly since March [1].
