Date: Sun, 17 May 2009 19:19:56 +0200
Package: amule-daemon
Version: 2.2.3-2
Severity: normal

	Hello,

Recently I installed daemon version of amule and seems that there is
some bug when amuled complete a download (I mean, 100% reached and moving
from temporal to complete dir).

I used amulegui from another computer and when a download is
complete, amulegui stop "refreshing" data, but stills conected.

The only solution I found is restart daemon.

Also, I launched daemon manually (amuled) and I try to find on logs
some information, next string appears:

CAUGHT DEAD SOCKET IN SENDPACKET()

Maybe it's a old version bug, but I have to downgrade to this
version because actual package on sid is broken because libcrypto (#525071)

I guess that, prior to restarting the daemon, you tried restarting
amulegui? In any case, I can't reproduce the problem. I've recently gone
back to using amule-daemon myself, and operation of the daemon and the
GUI continues as normal after finishing a download.

I note that you're using 2.2.3. Would you be able to test with 2.2.4 or
the just-uploaded 2.2.5? libcrypto++ has been recently fixed.

Yes, killing amulegui and restarting again don't work, amulegui
do not load again (I mean, load, but do not show anything, maybe waiting
for amule-daemon response).

Also, daemon stops downloading, no p2p traffic is sent / received,
so it's not only a bug for incomming connections from gui.

I Updated 2.2.4-1+b1 and fails too... so I try to upgrade to 2.2.5
and when some downloads are completed I report again more info (if crashes
or no)

Another user reports same problem on launchpad (https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/amule/+bug/219671)

I can confirm that bug still crashing daemon on version 2.2.5-1
(some downloads finished recently with this version and daemon stop
responding, so I restart and everything works fine again)

Subject: cause of crash found (I think)
Date: Tue, 2 Jun 2009 16:15:36 +0200 (CEST)
	Hi,

Trying to get what is happening when download is completed, I
remember that I configured (with amule main cliente, I mean, no remote
gui) in advanced properties a command to move the completed file to
another path.

	The command is:

CoreCommand=mv "%FILE" /mnt/p2p/incoming

So I remove the command in amule.conf and test it for some days. I
have downloaded some big files in last days and amulegui still responding
ok.

I will report if daemon crash again, but for now, as I said, seems
to be fixed (without command complete feature, of course)

Subject: [amule] Is your bug still valid with aMule 2.2.6?
Date: Thu, 31 Dec 2009 00:31:07 +0100
Hello,
we recently uploaded in Debian unstable the new upstream release of
aMule: 2.2.6 .

We are contacting you because you reported a bug against aMule and
because we'd like to ask you to verify if your bug still applies to
the 2.2.6 version.

Since some of the bugs we are contacting are really old, there are
chances they were already fixed in a previous version (just for the
reference, Debian stable has version 2.2.1 while Debian testing has
(currently) version 2.2.5).

Your help is appreciated in screening your bug, so we close those that
are already fixed and address those that are not (yet).

Thanks in advance,
Sandro (on behalf of aMule Debian packaging team)

I stopped using this feature because amule was too unstable, I
don't know if bug was fixed. Today, I enabled again and I try to reproduce
when amule completes some big files that I have pending.

Hi,

as discussed already on:

http://forum.amule.org/index.php?topic=17489.msg94644#msg94644

this is a bug of wx. I tried to check if it was reported upstream on wx-
bugtracker, but for active tickets I get: Results (1 - 200 of 1907)
which didn't really motivate me to search for it.
