[Message part 1 (text/plain, inline)]
Package: qcad
Version: 2.0.5.0-1-2.1
Severity: normal

Hello,

I have created a drawing with qcad which I wanted to print or export to Postscript. qcad
shows weird behavior here, it adds additional lines in the postscript-output which are
obviously not existant in the DXF-file. The lines cannot be seen when opening the file
in qcad but only after exporting them to postscript and opening them with "gv" or
printing them.

Also, I converted the exported file from Postscript to EPS with ps2eps and then openend
the exported file in inkscape where the lines cannot be seen. Once I print the drawing
from inkscape or export the file back to Postscript, EPS or even PDF the lines occur
again. I have really no idea where those lines arise from. I let a friend open the
DXF-file with a commercial software called "Archicad" (version 9.0), the lines do not
occur there upon export so I suspect this to be a bug in qcad. I also tried the
demo-version of qcad (version 2.2.x) but the demo-version does not export the whole
figure but only parts of it (I suspect this to be a restriction of the demo-version).

Please see the 2 attached files, both the orginal DXF-file as well as the exported
PS-file.

Subject: Additional sample file-set which produces the same error

[Message part 1 (text/plain, inline)]
Hi,

I have sketched a new construction with qcad 2.0.5 today from scratch and the
postscript output also produced these lines here. I also contacted Ribbonsoft
and one of the support assistants told me that this behaviour might be triggered
by invalid entity-dimensions which may occur during import/export of DXF (the
max/min-values might be wrong). Usually qcad keeps the user from drawing entities
with such invalid parameters/dimensions, but my second file-set proves that this
must be a bug in qcad (or maybe ghostscript), since I am absolutely sure I never
skechted those lines, they appeared on their own.

Also, I printed out the postscript output on a postscript-printer and got the same
errornous lines (the lines can be seen in the left part of the drawing: within the
square of the "holder" there is an additional diagonal line, which does not exist,
at least visibly, in the DXF-file when opening it with qcad).

Please see the attached files.

Hi Adrian,

I forwarded this old bug to upstream forums on:
http://www.ribbonsoft.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=854
and got the following reply from community users:

> Erraneous lines are on these drawings are caused by bad usage of

So, I'm closing this report now, but feel free to extend your report on
the above topic in the ribbonsoft forums, and to reopen this bug if
needed.

Regards,
  Ruben
