Subject: Introducing mp3mesa into Debian
Date: Fri, 15 May 2009 18:39:51 -0300
Dear Arthur & Vincent,

I just grabbed the sources of mp3mesa from the sourceforge site and I
think that I can contribute to the project, as I think that grip is an
excellent encoder and I wish to have it back into Debian.

I see that the package (both sources and the Debian packaging) "needs
some loving", as people usually say.

I am willing to help and I was almost reviving grip when I saw this
package.

If you are interested, please let me know and we can join forces.

Regards, Rogério Brito.

Hi!

What is the current status of this ITP of mp3mesa? I also think that
asunder is no way a replacement of grip. Please, add a transition package
in mp3mesa source package to allow smooth transition from grip.

Thanks.

Hello,

I've finished the package but I'm actually looking for the legal basis
in Germany of mp3 ripping. Probably I have to stop working on it/ can
not upload it. I'll write as soon as I know more about it...

retitle 518114 RFP: mp3mesa -- MP3 ripper for CD to MP3 conversions
noowner 518114
thanks

Hi,

This is an automatic email to change the status of mp3mesa back from ITP
(Intent to Package) to RFP (Request for Package), because this bug hasn't seen
any activity during the last 6 months.

If you are still interested in adopting mp3mesa, please send a mail to
<control@bugs.debian.org> with:

 retitle 518114 ITP: mp3mesa -- MP3 ripper for CD to MP3 conversions
 owner 518114 !
 thanks

However, it is not recommended to keep ITP for a long time without acting on
the package, as it might cause other prospective maintainers to refrain from
packaging that software. It is also a good idea to document your progress on
this ITP from time to time, by mailing <518114@bugs.debian.org>.

Thank you for your interest in Debian,
