Even with gnome-vfs-obexftp (and gvfs-backends) installed, “Browse Device…”
is greyed out. Not sure what is missing.

Try adding you username to netdev group:

vi /etc/group

find the line start with "netdev..." and add your username there.

As you didn't put me on CC: I never got this message… Anyway, I was in
the netdev group, I'm still in, and consolekit/policykit should have
made this deprecated I guess:

Subject: Package bluez-gnome has been removed from Debian

You filled the bug http://bugs.debian.org/506677 in Debian BTS
against the package bluez-gnome. I'm closing it at *unstable*, but it will
remain open for older distributions.

For more information about this package's removal, read
http://bugs.debian.org/564571. That bug might give the reasons why
this package was removed and suggestions of possible replacements.

Don't hesitate to reply to this mail if you have any question.

Thank you for your contribution to Debian.
