Subject: xournal: Allocates 1.4GB of memory when trying to draw anything
Date: Wed, 05 Nov 2008 09:02:24 +0100
[Message part 1 (text/plain, inline)]
Package: xournal
Version: 0.4.2.1-0.1
Severity: important

Xournal will use up 1.4GB of memory (not more, it only consumes all my RAM and a bit of swap)
This happens always I start to use it, like to draw or write

This makes my X usually unusable, so I have to kill xournal in tty...

Thanks, Jakub

Hi Jakub:

Are you still having this problem? I have found that xournal behaves
badly on some systems when the "Use Xinput" option is selected in the
"Options" menu. This particularly happens on my laptop when I do not
have an external mouse connected.

Hi

I'm really sorry for so late response, but your question probably failed to
get through spam filter..

Well, it seems to be ok now, after testing bit longer than testing needed to
reproduce this bug

Thank you very much

I have not been able to reproduce this bug with the above version and
the original poster notes that the problem has disappeared. Therefore, I
am closing this bug.

The above version 0.4.2.1-2 never was uploaded to the pool, not exactly
sure where you got that version information from. Shall this be marked
as fixed in 0.4.5-1 instead, so that the version information is correct
and the bug can get archived properly?

 Thanks,
Rhonda

Hi Rhonda:

I was on vacation with limited email capability. Yes please do mark it
done for the current version and let it be reopened if someone manges to
get it again.
