xboard gives the following error when it is run:
	xboard: no fonts match pattern 	
		-*-helvetica-bold-r-normal--*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*

the dependencies give no indication of missing fonts

output from uname:
Linux 2.6.26-1-amd64 #1 SMP Thu Oct 9 14:16:53 UTC 2008 x86_64 GNU/Linux

Hello,

I have been able to reproduce this bug. I think installing xfonts-100dpi or
xfonts-75dpi should fix it. Could you please confirm that ?

Hi,

I am closing this bug.

You need to install xfonts-100dpi or xfonts-75dpi to run xboard. But it's also
possible to run xboard without xfonts-100dpi or xfonts-75dpi installed. So it
doesn't make sense to add them in Depends. Recommends is enough.

For example, if you run ssh -X on a system with xboard installed and no fonts
available, xboard works if you have fonts in your system.
