Hi there!

Git-buildpackage can be configured in a per-repository .gbp.conf, which
must not be included in the package sources.

Can .gbp.conf be added to the default -i/-I values, please?

Thx, bye,
Gismo / Luca

I think it would be way better for git-buildpackage to use "git config"
instead of polluting the source directory with yet another dot file.

Feel free to reassign.

guillem

While I fully agree on this (that's why I reassigned the bug), adding
one more file is not really a burden, at least until git-buildpackage
will support plain `git config` options.

The real problem is that AFAIK you cannot append new filter options to
-i/-I, but only completely substitute the default values.

The main reason for allowing a $REPO/.gbp.conf is to store gbp
information in the repository (so you can store per branch
configuration and share the configuration with other team members). As
far as I know this isn't possible with `git config` since only
~/.gitconfig and .git/config are being looked at.

Given our current usage of debian/gbp.conf this is not likely going to
happen.
