I installed wordpress on my local machine for development purposes. When
I access any .php file like:
http://localhost/whatever.php
apache serves the actual php file instead running the php code. When I
access them like:
http://127.0.0.1/whatever.php
http://devmachine/whatever.php
everything works fine (I have devmachine set to my 192.168.1.<ip> in
/etc/hosts).

Hi,
I was wondering if you are still having this problem. It actually looks like
a vhosts configuration issue as there's no reason why php wouldn't run in one
case and not in the other.
If you don't reply in a week I'm going to close this bug.
Cheers,
